A Walk to Remember movie

The story of two North Carolina teens, Landon Carter and Jamie Sullivan , who are thrown together after Landon gets into trouble and is made to do community service.

A Walk to Remember is a 2002 film set in mid-1990s Beaufort, North Carolina, based on the 1998 novel by Nicholas Sparks. The movie stars pop singer Mandy Moore and Shane West. The movie was directed by Adam Shankman and produced by Denise DiNovi and Hunt Lowry.PlotTagline: Love is like the wind. You cant see it but you can feel it.When a prank on a fellow high-school student goes wrong, Landon Carter is punished with mandatory participation in various after-school activities, such as tutoring to younger disadvantaged children at their sister school and acting in the drama clubs final production, the spring play or be expelled.

At these functions he is forced to interact with Jamie Sullivan, but does not befriend her immediately. When Landon realizes that he needs help learning his lines for the play, he asks Jamie for help. She agrees to help him if he promises not to fall in love with her, to which he responds by saying, "Thats not a problem." Later, Jamie asks Landon if they were still on for practice that afternoon to which he replies,"In your dreams", because he was with his friends. Landon goes to her house for practice and she refuses to open the door. When she eventually does, she sarcastically remarks that they can be "secret friends." She slams the door in his face when he agrees. He jumps off her doorstep and screams "Damn" and her father comes so he leaves.Landon eventually learns the script by himself.
