David Hernandez has been in the Film and television industry since Early 1984 at the early age of 14. He was discovered by Producer Silvia Giannini and Director Jack Ginay or NBC Channel 5 in Chicago while shooting footage for a docudrama named Still a Stranger. They happened upon each other on the corner of Rockwell and Augusta in Humboldt Park. David simply blew these veteran industry professionals away with his insight and style.

Not to mention his natural charm. Since then David has been involved both in front of and behind the camera. From acting to television production. Just recently his desire to continue to move the industry forward in Chicago has landed him roles that otherwise would be very difficult to fulfill in Chicago. David Hernandez was recently announced as taking a part in the latest Alfredo De Villa film "Humboldt Park". It was noted that David being of what he would rather be referred to as "Boriqueno decent" (Puerto Rican), he was chosen after an exhausting audition process that involved the best of the best in Chicago actors to portray a Mexican Landscaper. It was mentioned that many professional actors were auditioned and David Hernandez was able to portray a very natural and believable Character that even those of actual Mexican Decent could not produce. The required talent by the extremely selective Casting professionals and Mr. De Villa were satisfied only by the magic touch that David Hernandez adds to all his work. .
