Madagascar 2: The Lost Island is a sequel to the 2005 film, Madagascar. It is in production by DreamWorks Animation and is scheduled to be released in fall of 2008 (possibly in November). The film will be distributed by Paramount Pictures. DreamWorks announced on their website that Madagascar will become a franchise similar to that of Shrek.
As of right now, Madagascar is expected to have two sequels. It has been confirmed that the film will be about the animals starting the plane on Madagascar, and then landing on Africa, and meeting some of Alexs family (a plot similar to that of Shrek 2).Starring the voices of Ben Stiller, Chris Rock, David Schwimmer, Jada Pinkett Smith, Sacha Baron Cohen, Cedric the Entertainer, Andy Richter and featuring the voices of John Goodman, Jack Black, Ian McShane and Raven-Symoné..
