A mild-mannered guy who is engaged to a monstrous woman meets the woman of his dreams , and schemes to find a way to be with her.

Produced by Davis Entertainment and Tollin/Robbins Productions, the film also stars Thandie Newton, Terry Crews, Clifton Powell, Lester "Rasta" Speight, Eddie Griffin, Katt Williams, Marlon Wayans, and Cuba Gooding, Jr. It was released by Dreamworks Pictures through Paramount Pictures on February 9, 2007PlotThe film begins with Norbit (Eddie Murphy) narrating how he was abandoned at an orphanage/Chinese restaurant owned by Mr. Wong (Eddie Murphy).

Since there are too many kids for the owners to take care of at once, they implement the buddy system. Norbit gets paired up with Kate (Thandie Newton). They instantly become best friends and they do everything together. She starts to teach him how to ride a bike and they even pretend to get married under a huge oak tree in the backyard and exchange Ring Pop rings. However, 2 weeks later, Kate is adopted and she isnt heard from again. Norbit believes that one day hell see Kate again.A few years later, 9-year-old Norbit is playing in a school playground and is being beaten up by two twin bullies.
